CMPSCI 630 -- Programming Languages
Project Information
The Programming Languages project provides you with an opportunity to
explore
issues related
to some programming language or programming language-related topic of
interest to you in more detail than can be covered
in class. You will choose a particular topic and focus on it in depth,
applying the concepts and tools developed in this course.
Ideally, the project will make it clearer why some of the topics, concepts
and tools covered in class are important.
The following handouts describe the project and provide a mechanism for
updating the instructor on your progress. The lecture number and date
indicates when the information was made available.
- Lecture 17 (4/01/09), Project description.
- Lecture 17 (4/01/09), Initial project
preference form, due by Lecture 20 (4/13/09)
- Lecture 21 (4/15/09), Status report 1, due before
Lecture 24 (4/27/09). You are STRONGLY encouraged to
discuss your project plans with Professor Wileden before submitting
this status report: you can do so during regular office hours, or by
scheduling an appointment at some other time, or via email.
- Lecture 24 (4/27/09), Status report 2, due before
Lecture 27 (5/6/09). If you haven't already done so, or if you have any uncertainties
about your project plans, you are encouraged to
discuss your project plans with Professor Wileden before submitting
this status report: you can do so during regular office hours, or by
scheduling an appointment at some other time, or via email.
- Lecture 25 (4/29/08), Final submission instructions
The project is due ten days after the final lecture, which is also
the last day of exams (Thursday, May 21).
See the final submission
instructions for information about late submissions.
