Lecture Topics: I would welcome your input regarding the topics (and presenters) for the remaining lectures in CMPSCI 630 for Spring 2008. If you are intending (or considering) making a presentation as part of your course project, please let me know as soon as possible. If you have some lecture topic you would be particularly interested in, whether or not you might make the presentation, please let me know about that as well. Here are some possible lecture topics among which you could express a preference:

• Generic Java (GJ and/or FGJ)
• Type inference (Hindley/Milner)
• Simple objects (Harper and/or Abadi/Cardelli)
• Garbage collection
• Security
• Interoperability
• Theory-related topics:
  • Curry-Howard Isomorphism (Harper Ch. 31)
  • Equivalence (Harper Ch. 48-50)
• Formal foundations for Scala
